Keeping up w/ my certification requires that I retake a test every 6 years, and passing. If I want to do the "take home" 6 week version instead of the 4 hour sit at a computer version, I have to accumulate 400 CME credits over the 6 years. (which is 100 credits over the normal requirement) So, off to Philidelphia for the National American Academy of Physician Assistants conference. Fortunantly, I had 3 of my PA classmates join me, and 2 of my PA friends from Portland to make it bearable. There's not much more boring than sitting in a convention center auditorium w/ 300 other people listening to mediocre lectures. I'm not sure how much I learned, but I survived, earned my credits, and got to see some friends.
